Introduction of Chromebooks
Google has just announced the first Chromebooks made by Samsung and Acer.
Unlike typical notebooks, you need not wait minutes for the Chromebook to boot and browser to start. Instead, you will be reading your email in matter of seconds – thanks to automatic updates the software on your Chromebook which will get faster over time.
For applications, games, photos, music, movies and documents, you will be able to access them wherever you are and you won’t need to worry about losing your computer or forgetting to back up files.
For the battery, Chromebooks will last a day of use on a single charge, hence, you do not need to carry a power cord everywhere you go.
With optional 3G, you can surf the web whenever you need it. Chromebooks have many layers of security built in, so anti-virus software is not needed.
More importantly, you do not need to spend hours in setting up your computer as well as keeping it up to date.
At the core of the Chromebook is the Chrome web browser. Testing out any new applications or sharing them with friends are as easy as clicking a link. Information can be searched instantly and with HTML5 and other open standards, web applications will soon be able to do anything traditional applications can do or even more.
