What is PageRank?
PageRank is named after it’s creator – Larry Page, the co-founder of Google.
It is one of the methods Google uses to determine a page’s relevancy and importance. Google uses PageRank as one of the component in the ranking algorithm to determine the positions of web pages in the search engine result page (SERP) listing.
One way to find out the PageRank of any websites is the use of Google Toolbar.
The scale of PageRank is from 0 to 10 with 10 being the most important. Websites with high PageRank are usually authoritative sites or popular sites with many visitors.
How do we acquire PageRank for our web pages?
One of the method is the implementation of Search Engine Optimization or SEO in short.
With a good SEO plan, chances of getting any websites to rank high in the search engines are highly possible after 3 to 6 months of implementing the SEO techniques and strategies.
